Solo Guitar

An engaging solo guitarist, Razavi enjoys connecting with audiences in this more intimate setting. First inspired first by Joe Pass as a teenager, Razavi leans on familiar tunes from the Great American Songbook while his sound borrows from classic and contemporary guitar influences.

Razavi mainly performs on archtop guitars, while occasionally playing acoustic instruments when a tune calls for a different texture. He relishes the nylon string guitar in particular, drawing from the likes of Lenny Breau, Gene Bertoncini, and others, while having developed his own voice on the instrument.

He has performed solo guitar concerts at festivals and concert series, and his solo guitar work was recognized with the Leigh Weimers Emerging Artist award. His solo album Six-String Standards was released in February 2023 on the Origin/OA2 label.
